Industry Perspectives Campaign
Client: Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT)
Background
DFAIT’s Invest in Canada campaign required a series of English and French viral videos lauding the industry-leading Canadian gaming community.
r+d creative worked with DFAIT as well as digital arts companies; EIDOS, Relic, Bioware and RIM to conceptualize and produce short, impactful vignettes. Each video provided first-hand explanations of what makes each company successful and how Canada is supportive and conducive to their success, while at the same time, showcasing each company’s amazing work!
Results
DFAIT distributed the video series as a viral video campaign via BlackBerry and iphone to all participants at the Game Developers Conference 2009 in San Francisco. The videos were also extensively used at various trade shows and DFAIT events.
