The Million Dollar Coin
Client: Royal Canadian Mint
Background
The Royal Canadian Mint came to us to create a video documentary of their Million Dollar Coin. They allowed us not only to enter their plant to document the actual minting, but also capture some of their planning meetings outlining the production process.
The video explores every aspect of the coin’s creation; from the minute contour detailing to the extensive physical demands of forging a 100 Kilogram pure gold coin. The result is a powerful video testimony that is shown wherever the coin travels and makes an appearance.
Results
The Million Dollar Coin video is shown at all major Minting exhibitions and travels with the coin globally.
